    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    Clearwater Paper Corporation is accepting applications to fill current and future machine operator positions at its Neenah, WI facility.  Candidates for the machine operator positions must be responsible, reliable and safety conscious individuals.  Preference will be given to those with manufacturing or converting or similar production experience.  All future job offers will be contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment physical, which includes measuring strength capabilities, physical endurance and agility.  Prospective employees must also pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.  Clearwater Paper Corporation offers an excellent benefits package upon successful completion of the 90 day probationary period.  Applications must be submitted online.   Starting rate of pay is $18.00 per hour, but upon successfully completing the 90 day probationary period the rate of pay increases to $20.66 per hour.   Hourly rate increases occur every 6 months until reaching top rate in the area assigned. 

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Required education and related experience: 

    • High school diploma or GED certificate
    • Individuals must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide proper identification.
    • Minimum of two years continuous work experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or labor intensive work environment.
    • Normal mobility, manual dexterity, normal visual and auditory ability.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize assisting devices for heavier lifting.
    • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime.

    Skills and Abilities (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications):

    • Must be able to handle the rigors of an industrial environment including temperature extremes, noisy environments and heavy lifting.
    • Demonstrate safe work practices and follow safety rules and procedures.  
    • Good teamwork and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail to ensure quality requirements are met.
    • Sense of urgency and accountability to meet production goals  
    • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot on machinery.
    • Ability to learn and/or operate mobile equipment.
